e-Tax Guide GST: Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme (ACAP) revised

On or about 1 July 2016, the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) has released the eighth edition of the e-Tax Guide GST: Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme (ACAP). It replaces the seventh edition published on 18 December 2015.

The revised e-Tax Guide incorporates the following updates:

1. amended paragraph 12.
2. inserted paragraph 13.
3. inserted Appendix 3 “Information Leaflet on Certified Post ACAP Review (PAR)”.
4. removed “ACAP Control Calculator”.
5. replaced Appendix 1- Annex 1 “Self-Review of GST Controls” and Appendix 1- Annex 5 “Notes to Report on Factual Findings”.
6. editorial changes.
7. Appendix 1 “GST ACAP Review Guidance”
   1. renamed “CPA firm” to “Public Accounting Entity”.
   2. editorial changes to Section 1 and 2.
8. Appendix 2 “Information Leaflet on Post ACAP Review”
   1. amended paragraph 3.1.
   2. inserted paragraphs 4.3, 4.4 and 5.
