On or about 24 September 2019, the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) has published the ninth edition of the e-Tax guide, GST: Assisted Self-Help Kit (ASK) Annual Review Guide. It replaces the eighth edition published on 29 July 2019.
This e-Tax Guide explains “Assisted Self-help Kit” (ASK) is a self-assessment package designed to facilitate voluntary compliance of GST-registered businesses.
The guide is essential for the GST-registered business who is undertaking the ASK review on a voluntary basis or as a requirement for specific purposes e.g. in the course of audit or application for or renewal of GST schemes.
The e-Tax guide has updated the following:
- Inserted Footnote 6in paragraph 1.3dof Step 1and amended paragraphs 1.1 and 1.2 of Step 3 and paragraph 4.2a of Step 4 for the new boxes in the GST returns
