The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) has published a summary detailing the resolution of significant technical issues impacting the filing of Annual Returns via its BizFile+ platform. These fixes address widespread user frustrations encountered during the recent filing season, aiming to streamline the process for Singapore businesses.
Key resolved issues include:
- Access & Authentication: The persistent “Access denied” error post-login has been rectified. ACRA confirms that Corppass credentials are mandatory for corporate filings, and users experiencing this error must utilize Corppass instead of Singpass.
- Entity Information Accuracy: Problems causing missing or incorrect data on the critical “Review Entity Information” page have been fixed. Affected users can now successfully amend and re-file their Annual Returns without encountering these display errors.
- Submission Error Messages: Various error messages blocking submission have been resolved. ACRA advises filers to double-check the accuracy of email addresses for all position holders to prevent related submission failures.
- Dormant Company Filings: Dormant companies faced difficulties with mandatory fields. The system is now updated, allowing these entities to file Annual Returns without needing to populate specific, previously problematic fields.
- Resigned Director Selection: A system limitation preventing users from selecting resigned directors has been eliminated. Filers can now accurately reflect director resignations within their submissions.
- Audit Information Fields: Missing fields within the “Audit Information” section, which hindered progress, have been restored, enabling users to complete this section without obstruction.
“These resolutions target critical pain points identified during the peak filing period,” ACRA stated in its summary. The updates focus on enhancing system stability, data integrity, and user experience for mandatory corporate compliance filings.
