The Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat is to deliver Singapore’s 2020 Budget Statement in the Parliament on 18 February 2020.
The budget speech will be live on television and radio, including via live webcast on the Singapore Budget website. Real-time updates of key Budget announcements will also be available on the Facebook page and Twitter account, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong stated that the upcoming Budget includes plans to improve the lives of Singaporeans, such as helping households with the cost of living and contain measures to help businesses to raise their productivity and build new capabilities.
The Budget 2020 feedback phase will conclude on 10 January 2020. The MOF has also partnered with the People’s Association (PA) and its grassroots organisations in their Ask Kopi Kakis to set up 25 Ask Kopi Kakis kiosks islandwide. The public can submit their feedback through the Singapore Budget website, the REACH Budget microsite, its official social media channels on Facebook and Instagram and its Feedback Form.
