The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) has announced immediate relief measures for businesses and corporate service providers experiencing technical difficulties with the newly launched BizFile+ portal.
Background: The updated BizFile+ portal, launched on 9 December 2024, has encountered technical issues impacting some users’ ability to submit transactions. ACRA confirmed it is actively resolving these problems.
User Impact: ACRA recognizes these disruptions raise concerns about potential missed deadlines for critical statutory filings, such as Annual Returns.
Relief Measures: To mitigate the impact, ACRA has instituted the following technical relief provisions:
- Extended Filing Deadlines: Statutory filing deadlines (including Annual Returns) originally falling between 9 December 2024 and 20 December 2024 have been extended to 27 December 2024.
- Penalty Waiver: No late filing penalties will be applied for submissions completed by the 27 December 2024 extended deadline.
Support for Urgent Needs: Users requiring assistance with urgent or critical transactions are advised to contact the ACRA Helpdesk directly for support.
