{"id":1778,"date":"2021-12-08T09:37:00","date_gmt":"2021-12-08T01:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ehluar.com\/main\/?p=1778"},"modified":"2022-03-04T09:44:52","modified_gmt":"2022-03-04T01:44:52","slug":"crs-registration-and-deregistration-iras-website-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ehluar.com\/main\/2021\/12\/08\/crs-registration-and-deregistration-iras-website-updates\/","title":{"rendered":"CRS Registration and Deregistration &#8211; IRAS website updated"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On or about 6 Dec 2021, the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) has updates its website contents to information on common reporting standard (CRS) registration and deregistration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An entity that becomes a Reporting Singaporean Financial Institution (SGFI) between 1 January and 31 December (both dates inclusive) of the year should register for CRS by <strong>31 March<\/strong> of the following year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Companies should use the CRS Entity Classification self-review tool&nbsp;(provided by IRAS) to determine its CRS entity classification and check if it is required to register for CRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A company is required to register for CRS if it is a custodial institution, a depository institution, an investment entity or a specified insurance company that is a:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>resident in Singapore, excluding its branch outside Singapore; or<\/li><li>a Singapore branch of any financial institution not resident in Singapore<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On or about 6 Dec 2021, the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) has updates its website contents to information on common reporting standard (CRS) registration and deregistration.
