{"id":560,"date":"2018-04-01T10:40:13","date_gmt":"2018-04-01T02:40:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ehluar.com\/main\/?p=560"},"modified":"2018-07-07T10:45:44","modified_gmt":"2018-07-07T02:45:44","slug":"sfrsi-17-and-frs-117-issued-by-asc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ehluar.com\/main\/2018\/04\/01\/sfrsi-17-and-frs-117-issued-by-asc\/","title":{"rendered":"SFRS(I) 17 and FRS 117 issued by ASC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"hP\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On 2 April 2018, the Accounting Standard Council (ASC) has issued Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International) (SFRS(I)) 17 <i>Insurance Contracts<\/i> and Financial Reporting Standard (FRS) 117 <i>Insurance Contracts<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"hP\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> The objective of SFRS(I) 17 and FRS 117 is to ensure that entities provides relevant information that faithfully represent those contracts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"hP\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">SFRS(I) 17 is equivalent to IFRS 17 <i>Insurance Contracts<\/i> and entity that complies with SFRS(I) 17 can simultaneously comply with IFRS 17.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"hP\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">While FRS 117 is effective for annual reporting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2021. Earlier application is permitted.
