{"id":640,"date":"2018-07-21T21:55:09","date_gmt":"2018-07-21T13:55:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ehluar.com\/main\/?p=640"},"modified":"2018-08-02T07:36:40","modified_gmt":"2018-08-01T23:36:40","slug":"claiming-gst-incurred-before-gst-registration-or-incorporation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ehluar.com\/main\/2018\/07\/21\/claiming-gst-incurred-before-gst-registration-or-incorporation\/","title":{"rendered":"Update of e-Tax Guide on Claiming GST incurred before GST Registration or Incorporation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">GST-registered businesses may claim GST incurred before registering for GST and also before incorporation provided certain conditions are met.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On 18 July 2018, the Inland Revenue of Singapore (IRAS) have updated the Third Edition of the e-Tax Guide, <em>GST: Pre-registration Claims on Goods and Services (For Businesses Registered for GST on or after 1 July 2015)<\/em>.\u00a0 It replaces the second edition that was issued on 11 July 2017.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This e-Tax Guide include the following changes:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Insertion of paragraph 4.7 and footnote 8 to explain what is meant by \u201cproperty rental, utilities and services in relation to property not directly attributable to supplies made before GST registration\u201d and made consequential renumbering of next two paragraphs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Insertion of paragraph 6.1 to clarify the treatment of raw materials. Re-organised and renumbered subsequent paragraphs up to paragraph 6.14 as a consequence.
